The “Future Winemaking: Wine Cellar 4.0” block was led by José Cuevas, head of R&D and innovation at Viña Concha y Toro’s Center for Research and Innovation, who highlighted the applications and benefits of smart industry, and explained how Viña Concha y Toro’s Center for Research and Innovation is driving the digital transformation of processes in the value chain in order to obtain greater efficiency, and maximize quality and productivity.
“We must be able to explore, adapt and implement new technological trends, particularly those associated with industry 4.0, to ensure the optimization of winemaking process, with a focus on productivity, quality and sustainability. The CRI collaborates with the Technical Department and its winemaking teams to explore new technologies, in order to subsequently validate and implement them together with our Technological Innovation Unit,” said Cuevas.
